Charity sites are all about getting your message across and getting people to donate or get involved.  Read more for some ideas about what you might want. 

  • About Us - the vision, mission statement and strategy of the charity.  Maybe a bit of history and the background to the need you are meeting.
  • What we do - the activities of the charity.  This could include all sorts of items: photos, videos, articles to read and/or download, maps showing where you work.
  • FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions.
  • What's New - latest news from the sharp end of what you do.
  • Register - a register of friends of the charity, with contact details and their donation and communication preferences
  • E-Newsletter - a regular newsletter automatically sent to subscribers.
  • Campaigns - email campaigns on specific subjects automatically sent to people who have agreed to receive information.
  • Donate now - a big button at strategic points throughout the site to persuade people to donate, and the mechanism behind it collect their money.
  • Get Involved - a whole list of things for which you are soliciting help: campaigning, fundraising, events, local groups, stalls at fetes, volunteer speakers.
  • Gifts - a shopping cart system to allow people to by gifts sold by the charity.
  • Give as you Shop - Links to sites with whom you have a "Give as you Shop" agreement.

  • Information download - information to help your target community
