Business Websites
Business websites are all about selling your goods and services. They range from an online presence which simply tells people where you are and what you do, to a full-scale online shop with all the necessary stock control and marketing tools behind it. Here is a list - by no means exhaustive - of the things you could include:
- Products - a list or a photo gallery showing your products and their prices.
- Services - descriptions of the services you provide and their costs.
- What's New - new products and services.
- How to find us - a map (which could be from Google Maps) showing the loaction of the business and possibly also providing directions if the customer enters their postcode.
- Special Offers - special promotions, perhaps with a promotion code that can be quoted in an online shop.
- Customer list - names and contact details for anyone who has bought from you before or has agreed to receive information from you.
- Campaigns - marketing information automatically sent to those who have agreed to receive it.
- eCommerce - an online shop so that customers can order online, and the secure mechanisms for payment to go with it. Have a look at the eCommerce section of this website for information on the features you can have.
- Contact us - addresses and phone numbers and a contact form that will be emailed to you
You can see that this is a progression from a simple Brochure site, through an Editable or Content Managed Site, to an eCommerce site. You can also integrate the site with other services and software, such as the excellent MailChimp campaign management package or with accounting systems such as Sage.
